Hopulent IPA - Release 2

Brewed May 19, 2010. 

Release 2 got a crazy Hop back addition that did not go smoothly in the brewhouse but made a “hopalicious treat that saw it sell out in 48 hours and left us thirsty for more too. Already a local favorite this beer was crafted to highlight what a strong, simple, all malt grain bill can do in balancing a serious Hop charge into a fusion of opulence.

The Malt

Premium Briess Two Row with a nearly equal amount of Ultra Premium Maris Otter as the base malts.  Briess Munich Malt and Weyermann CaraMunich I finish off the bill nicely.

The Hops

In the Boil:  Columbus, Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and more Simcoe
The Hop Back Hops:  Local Organic Chinook, Centennial, Columbus and Cascade. 

The Dry Hops: Chinook and Centennial.

Get it now, and drink it now.  This hoppy IPA is so nectar, floral like and beautiful that it is not the kind of beer to let age.
