    No changes were made to this release of the stout.  However, the large batch brewed for release #23 increased the creaminess to the body from the flaked barley, making this release particularly delicious.

    This release of the stout continues the process begun by release #21 of increased amounts of flaked barley, adding creaminess to the body and resulting in a lighter mouth-feel.

    Epic Brewmaster Kevin Crompton  increased the amount of flaked barley for additional creaminess to the body in this release of 825 State Stout. The result: the sweet oatmeal in the stout comes out more with a lighter, silkier mouth-feel texture. All the familiar flavors of roasted malt, sweet toffee and burnt marshmallow remain, but with a smoother, creamy finish.

    For release three we decided to up the hop bill by adding more Nugget to really give this release a bit more of a spicy herbal aroma.

    For release number two we slightly upped the roasted barely and chocolate malt. 825 State Stout is a silky smooth Oatmeal Stout with just a hint of coconut milk in flavour from the oats.
