Son of a Baptist

Coffee Stout with Cacao Nibs

Son of a Baptist is an 8% ABV imperial stout. It is not barrel aged like its father, Big Bad Baptist; instead its flavor profile was designed to highlight the complex and unique flavors of small batch coffees. Instead of sourcing a coffee that would play well in a beer we sought out creative and innovative roasters, then asked them which beans they’re passionate about. Each resulting release of Son of a Baptist is widely different, depending on the coffee selected. Some are fruity and sweet with notes of jam and chocolate, others are rich and earthy with a big roasted finish.

Son Of a Baptist

Like mixing your uppers with your downers? This is your excuse to do it. SOB has a chunk of caffeine in it from the heaps of coffee used in the brewing process. Although we don’t recommend you switch this out for your morning cup o’ joe, one of these intimidating 22oz bottles will give you a little jolt no matter what time of day you drink it.

Coffee Stout with Cacao Nibs

This coffee stout pours darker than a French roast and earthier than a Sumatran roast. Pour this out in a tall glass and let it warm as you sip on it to enjoy the full-bodied flavor.
